Function Type: Compatibility
Description:
Returns the exponential distribution. In Excel 2007, this is a Statistical function.
Function Structure:
=EXPONDIST(x, lambda, cumulative).
Argument Breakdown:
x – The value at which the exponential distribution is to be evaluated (must be ≥ 0).
lambda – The parameter of the distribution (must be ≥ 0).
cumulative – A logical argument that specifies the type of distribution to be calculated. This can be either: TRUE – Calculate the cumulative distribution function, FALSE – Calculate the probability density function.
Example:

As you can see the example above, error occurred in the fourth row, but why did the error occur? Error occurred because the value at which the exponential distribution is to be evaluated is less than 0.
